Van Nistelrooy to Realmadrid.com
"I will put my heart and soul into every match that I play"
Ruud Van Nistelrooy signed with Real Madrid just in time to join the team in Austria for pre-season training. Since then, the Dutch international has been a role model of hard work and dedication. Van Nistelrooy told Realmadrid.com that he is happy in Madrid, he's settling into the team, that he wants to be successful at Real Madrid, and, most importantly, score many goals. In tonight's match for the Santiago Bernabéu Trophy, Van Nistelrooy could get his first opportunity to dedicate one of his trademark goals to a crowd that loves him.
How have you adapted to Madrid and the team?
My arrival here was sudden. The whole process went very fast, and after three or four weeks of training and being in Madrid, I have gotten quite used to life here and the city. More importantly, I am happy and I feel I am part of the team.
Real Madrid welcomed you with open arms.
Yes, they did. I am very happy. There's a great working atmosphere, I have fun with my teammates, and all the players and Club employees make me feel right at home. It's amazing to be surrounded by it all. It's incredible to be playing here, because we improve every day.
You've only been here for a matter of weeks, but the work has been very intense so far.
True. I think it only helps us out in the long run. We work hard and I feel great. The pace will slow as we start competition play in order to feel fresher, but I've never felt better, physically. What's important now is playing matches and doing well.
||||
How would you assess the pre-season matches?
We played several matches one after the next, we trained hard, and, then we had two matches in two days. It was very hard on our bodies, and we noticed it at game time. But, I also think we played some good football and gained some rhythm.
The last pitstop before the League starts is the Bernabéu Trophy.
We can't wait for the match and to be in front of the Bernabéu crowd. We're also looking forward to the League, but this match will be special. I will put forth my best effort, not just in this match, but in all of them. It's what I have always done. The results may vary, but my work ethic is constant. The Bernabéu is a very special place. Being in the center of Madrid is a little odd. It's a great place to showcase my game and I hope to score in every match I play there. Let's hope I get off to a good start against Anderlecht.
You really want to triumph with this Club.
I will put my heart and sould into every match that I play. Obviously, being successful is important. And, yes, triumphing here is my main goal.
Winning the League is one of Real Madrid's objectives this year, and you already faced Villarreal for the Carranza Trophy.
Villarreal is a good team with players like Nihat and Forlán. They are great players and strong attackers. They will have a competitive team. They proved what they are capable of in Europe last year. What's clear is that the Spanish League is very strong, the best. Every match will be hard, starting from our first against Villarreal.
||||
You're obsessed with scoring.
I've been a professional for 13 years. I'm a natural forward, whether here or there. All I want are goals. When I take the pitch, all I think about is my game, my responsibilities, and scoring. There are fantastic, very techincal players here to play with. It's a good looking, complete team. All the players are great, and that just benefits the work of a forward.
What message do you have for Real Madrid fans?
I want to improve and perfect my game day by day. I want Madridistas to know that I will work hard to accomplish my goals, and that I will do everything I can for the Club, the team, and the fans. That's how we'll be successful.

Football: Beckham signs up for American dream
MADRID (AFP) - David Beckham will begin a new and possibly final mission in his colourful football career by quitting Real Madrid for Los Angeles Galaxy in the United States in a deal reported to be worth a staggering 128 million pounds (248m dollars).
The former England captain will join the American side on a five-year contract starting in July, with endorsement deals a major factor.
Not since Pele stepped onto the field for the New York Cosmos in 1975 has American soccer seen anything approaching the scope of what a Beckham signing would mean.
In a statement the 31-year-old midfielder confirmed on Thursday: "Real Madrid asked me to make a decision regarding my future and the offer to extend my contract by a further two seasons.
"After discussing several options with my family and advisers to either stay here at Madrid or join other major British and European clubs, I have decided to join the Los Angeles Galaxy and play in the MLS from August this year.
"I am proud to have played for two of the biggest clubs in football and I look forward to the new challenge of growing the world's most popular game in a country that is as passionate about its sport as my own."
He added: "For the rest of this season I will continue to give 100 percent to my coach, team mates and fans as I believe (Real coach) Fabio Capello will bring this club and its supporters the success they truly deserve."
Real Madrid confirmed their high profile star was leaving.
"After a meeting between both parties it was agreed David will not extend his current contract" which runs to June 30, the club said in a statement on its website.
The king's ransom for Beckham will rely upon money from endorsement deals as well as salary. Not bad for a man whose name was once considered so unknown among Americans that "Bend it like Beckham" nearly had another US title.
"A lot of that is going to be on the commercial side. That's not going to be because the Galaxy is paying him that much money," said Timothy Leiweke, president of the ownership group that operates the Galaxy.
"He has many endorsement opportunities here."
The move to LA Galaxy, which is based near Beckham's Southern California sports academy, comes at the end of a week when the player had been negotiating a new deal that would have kept him at the Bernabeu until 2009.
Speculation that his tenure in Madrid had come to an end was heightened Wednesday when Real sporting director Predrag Mijatovic was quoted as telling Sky Italia that his contract with the Spanish giants had not been renewed.
But the club later denied that the star midfielder was on his way out, stressing that negotiations over a new deal were still ongoing.
Under FIFA guidelines, Beckham has been able to openly negotiate with other clubs since January 1 because he is in the final six months of his contract.
Beckham, who had previously spent the whole of his professional career with Manchester United, moved to Spain in 2003 after falling out with Old Trafford mentor Sir Alex Ferguson.
He was one of several high-profile signings, along with Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and Luis Figo, who collectively became known as the "galaticos".
But Real have failed to win a major trophy during Beckham's time in Spain and he himself has drifted out of the first team.
While Beckham has fallen from the starting lineup, he will be a superstar with the glamour and appeal to make American audiences take notice of a sport largely ignored in favor of baseball, basketball and American football.
His off-field activities and high-profile will be a perfect fit for the Hollywood scene and provide opportunities for his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham.
It will also be a boon for his corporate sponsors, who reportedly pay Beckham 20 million dollars a year for his golden endorsement.
When Pele joined the Cosmos the Brazilian legend became the main man of a global all-star team that included Franz Beckenbauer and Giorgio Chinaglia.
But once Pele retired, the star faded and the Cosmos and the entire North American Soccer League folded soon after, a victim of over expansion and little interest in the game beyond the superstar squad.
That lesson has helped keep Major League Soccer grounded in salary caps and lower-priced talent since its 1996 debut, allowing the league to grow and build solid support but with fan interest levels far below that of other US sports.
But MLS officials made a rule change after last season allowing clubs to bypass the salary cap for one player, opening the door to a big-money Beckham signing and possibly the floodgates for other global talent, especially big names in their waning years.
Rafa Benitez Commits Himself to Liverpool
Liverpool manager Rafa Beni*tez today rubbished claims he will leave Liverpool this summer, restating his commitment to the Reds in a bid to end speculation that he is being lined up to take charge at Real Madrid.
With current manager Fabio Capello enduring a difficult season at the Bernabeu, there have been numerous reports of Real bosses preparing to offer Benitez the manager's job next season.
But the Spaniard has ruled out any such move, saying: "I think it's important the fans know I am completely committed to Liverpool and I'm going nowhere. I know there's been a lot of speculation in the Spanish media linking me with Real Madrid. Any manager would be honoured to be associated with such a famous club, especially as Madrid is my home city and also my former club. However, I want to make it clear I am very happy at Anfield and very happy in England and I'm genuinely excited by what the future holds for Liverpool."
Benitez joined Liverpool in June 2004, and despite failing to mount a serious title challenge in any of his three seasons since then has enjoyed considerable success in cup competitions, winning the Champions League in his first season in charge and the FA Cup last year. He is a popular figure among fans, and the American pair on the verge of taking over the club - Tom Hicks and George Gillett - appear confident that he is the man to take the club on under their new regime.
"I've had some extremely positive discussions with the new owners and share their enthusiasm and determination to take this club back to the very top," continued Benitez. "I will be sitting down shortly with both Mr Gillett and Mr Hicks to discuss things face to face, but an enormous amount of work is already under way in preparation for the way forward."
The pair will formally complete their takeover next week, and Hicks said earlier that Benitez was "absolutely" the man they wanted in charge, though he acknowledged he himself was yet to meet the manager. "We're going to get together with Rafa the morning after the Arsenal match [on March 31)," said Hicks. "It's now time to do that. I'll have my whole family over and [Gillett] is going to have his family there. We're all going to celebrate our first match together as the official owners. We've set aside half a day the next day to visit with Rafa.
"I've exchanged a number of emails with Rafa and know George talked to him personally last week," added Hicks. "We've explained to Rafa, which he knows and I think is very comfortable with, that we don't own the team yet. It would be very inappropriate for us to start and have those kind of important meetings prior to being the owners."
Harap2 Rafa stays with the reds utk musim dpn.

Smlm or bila ntah aku ada tgk, Tahniah Real Madrid sbb masih lg kekal sebagai kelab yg terkaya. Tp.....prestasi jatuh merudum,:-?? ....aiyarkkkkk!!!!

Real dah jatuh no 2 kelab terkaya bawah MU.
Most probably, Schuster (Getafe coach) akan jadi manager Real. Aku harapkan Benitez ataupun Mourinho. Tapi nampaknya mamat tuh yang kemungkinan dapat.
Capello nih...aku pun tak tau apa plan dia. Nak naikkan younger player kot...sebab yang seniornya semua dah over 30's. Tapi masalahnya, younger player nih tak bersefahaman lagik. Passing semua hampeh. Capello nih macam tak coach jer. Lagi satu, real dah tak ada play maker. Semua terumbang-ambing. Aku rasa kena cari satu play maker yang bagus la.

Aku rasa Real buleh kejar...Capello knows how to do it, but not by winning pretty la...
Tapi, once the team is settled, aku rasa Capello knows how to play magnificent football. Remember Milan of 94? Unbeaten the whole year, final Champions League blasah Barcelona 4-0?

Aku rasa kalu Real menang, abih jek wisel penamat perlawanan terakhir liga, dia akan chow begitu saja, tanpa celebrate ngan player kat padang.
Esoknya, terus announce resign, sebab tak puas hati cara dia dilayan oleh club and peminat, but still can deliver.

Congrates buat Real Madrid sbb dah jd juara, dah lama x jd juara, kira ni hadiah terakhir buat Bechkam la. Aku pun setuju dgn pendapat terunasuci, byk sgt bintang dlm team ni, kena ada manager yg hebat mcm Alex Ferguson, MU pun ramai gak stars dlm tu, tp ttp maintain berjaya.

First-half strikes from Raul and Ruud van Nistelrooy and another brilliant display from keeper Iker Casillas earned Real Madrid a 2-0 win away to city rivals Atletico Madrid on Sunday.Van Nistelrooy scored the second against the run of play and took his tally for the season to 12 when he clipped home from a corner two minutes from the break.....yeyeah...
